Continental Gunboat "Philadelphia."
The gunboat was built in 1776. It was sunk the same year when a 24-pound (~ 11 kg) shot from British forces found its target. The boat, which is the oldest surviving — albeit far from sea-worthy — American fighting vessel, was raised from the bottom of Lake Champlain (New York) in 1935.
