This is a collection of just "some" of my favorite photos from our November 2008 quest for polar bears in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada.

Decked out in fire retardant coveralls, hardhat, tool belt and shovel, this hydro construction worker bear is designed to remind contractors and individuals to call before digging to prevent injury and damage. eenusa > St Boniface Cathedral, Winnipeg: The façade of the 1908 Cathedral, which was destroyed by fire in 1968, remains relatively intact. The current smaller church, the fifth to be built on this site since 1818, fits inside the limestone ruins and can be glimpsed through the openings in the façade.
